About us...
Glacier Photo Guides offers private photography instruction and photo guiding in beautiful Glacier National Park. We believe that the best way to learn photography is through hands-on experience with the guidance of a knowledgable teacher. Whether you're looking to learn new camera skills or simply maximize your time while photographing in the Park, we are happy to help!
We focus on you and building your landscape photography skills, whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced. Our number one goal is to help you leave Glacier National Park with some gorgeous photos on your memory cards! We work with all experience levels and strive to make even the most technical aspects of photography approachable and enjoyable.
Owner & guide: sarah ehlen
Photography has been a lifelong passion of Sarah’s, with a focus on landscape, nature, and travel imagery. She studied photography at Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana where she has also worked as an instructor.
In the past, Sarah has spent more than a decade working as a Park Ranger with the National Park Service.
With a degree in Ecology and an extensive knowledge of the natural world, Sarah is able to bring a unique perspective to her teaching of landscape and nature photography. She loves helping people explore and connect with wild places.
Additionally, she is an Adobe Certified Expert in Lightroom, specializing in helping photographer's of all levels learn the art of post processing.

Guide: David Marx
David Marx has taught photography workshops and classes in some of the world's most beautiful places for almost twenty years. He is an Adobe Certified Expert in both Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. David is also the creator of Focus Photo School, a website filled with video tutorials on Adobe Lightroom and more. David's video tutorials and field workshops have helped train thousands of photography enthusiasts over the years.
As a longtime resident of Montana, David is intimately familiar with Glacier National Park and loves sharing his knowledge with others. David is a landscape and travel photographer with a special interest in photographing night skies, northern lights, timelapse, and long exposure images.
