Full Day Photo Tours

Private Photography Instruction & Guiding in Glacier National Park

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Glacier National Park during a full day of exploring with your camera.

This tour will give you plenty of time to practice a wide range of techniques while photographing at several locations throughout the park.

Interested in more than one day of photography? We also offer multi-day itineraries. This works particularly well if you are staying on the east side of the Park or if you are planning on staying on both sides of the Park during your visit. We can put together a custom, multi-day photo workshop built around your schedule and preferences!

Frequently Asked Questions

+ What does a full day cost?

Pricing starts at $775 for up to two people. Exact price depends on location. $75 for each additional photographer.

The full day session entails eight hours of landscape photography instruction and photo guiding in Glacier National Park by a professional photographer and experienced instructor.

Please note that the park entrance fee is not included in our pricing. You are responsible for your entrance fee to the park. More details can be found on Glacier National Park's website here.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

Full Day Sessions need to be booked a minimum of 3 business days in advance. You can cancel for no charge within 24 hours of making your booking (provided your booking is not within one week of your session).

Weather in the mountains is always unpredictable, but sessions will run, rain or shine. In fact, some of the best photos are often made in 'bad' weather. Please come prepared for every possible condition. Montana is known for experiencing all four seasons in a single day.

+ Should I bring food?

You are welcome to bring a picnic meal to eat along the way. There are also grab-and-go sandwich options within the Park if you prefer to pick something up during the tour. Your guide will have a cooler which you are welcome to use to keep items chilled.

We do provide cold drinks and light snacks during the tour. We have built in extra time to take a break and there are picnic tables and areas to rest along the way.

+ Where do we meet?

The exact meeting location depends upon which tour is booked. Typically we meet at the Apgar Visitor Center and head out from there. For east side trips, we will meet in the St Mary area. You will receive an email detailing the exact time and meeting location once your booking is confirmed.

+ Do you offer transportation?

Yes, during the tour you are welcome to ride with the guide from our meeting point. If you need transportation to/from the Park, please send us an inquiry before booking.

+ How much driving time is involved?

Full day tours involve several hours of driving, depending upon the exact locations visited. For example, a full day spent along the Going-to-the-Sun Road involves approximately 4 to 5 hours of driving round trip.

Glacier is a very big Park and the different areas are considerably spread out. We build additional time into the tours to account for driving time so that it doesn't cut into time spent photographing.

+ What should I know regarding Covid-19 and visiting the Park?

We follow all CDC guidance and National Park Service rules regarding Covid-19. Masks are currently optional. We will have masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes available for use. We will also avoid indoor spaces and busy areas of Park as much as possible.

Please do not attend your tour if you or anyone in your party is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, cold, or flu. Give us a call to discuss options.
